On September 14, the big Jesus Lizard reunion circus hits Amsterdam. The Jesus Lizard plays Paradiso and Gone Bald is booked to do an aftershow. To make things even better, Future Of The Left is the opening act, so there’s three great bands playing that night! There’s also an element of reunion going on for Gone Bald, because somewhere in the late 90’s, Gone Bald opened up for The Jesus Lizard in Amsterdam’s Melkweg venue. For the occasion of Gone Bald’s 15 year anniversary, the documentaries on Gone Bald that were released with the 100 Ways to Become Cool album will be screened in Glockenbachwerkstatt in Munich, this Monday June 15. Improband Kaskade will play a live show afterwards. You can also watch both documentaries here.
After releasing 100 Ways to Become Cool on Narrominded in 2007, Gone Bald’s rhythm section left the band to continue working on other bands and projects like Spoelstra, GarΓ§on Taupe and Boutros Bubba. This left Gone Bald in a two-year hiatus, that will be ended in style: This month, the band returns with a new lineup and kicks off their renewed presence in Amsterdam’s underground rockscene with a big party celebrating Gone Bald’s 15 year birthday.
