This Friday, February 5 2010, we’ll throw a party in one of Amsterdam’s coolest venues, Smart Project Space. It’s gonna get ugly with Boutros Bubba, Fine China Superbone and Katadreuffe. But there will also be some lushus spacing out situations going on with Hydrus and Puin + Hoop live sets. And to top that off, Hunter Complex will present his debut album Hunter Complex this night! An evening not to be missed, we would say! Be welcome from 20:30.
Online techno radiostation XT3 will present a show about webzine Eclectro tonight. Editor in chief Inge Janse will share some of his favorite electronic music with the listeners, including Narrominded material by Hydrus and Legowelt (check the full playlist here). The show will be broadcasted tonight between 8 and 10 pm and will also be available as a soundcloud on Electro later this week. Eclectro also included our Retro Retry 2 album in a list of tips for getting you through the fall season, you can read that article here.

Narrominded presents three new releases by Coen Oscar Polack. This exciting triptych takes you on a journey from a sultry nature reserve in the Dutch province of Utrecht to the rain soaked mountain slopes of Northeast India. These three cd’s have in common that they are all based on field recordings. On The Language of Mountains Is Rain Polack and Herman Wilken (half of electronica duo Hydrus) work these recordings into a musical context. Geluiden uit De Blauwe Kamer is a recording of a performance/installation in a nature reserve and The Skipping Monk is a collage of recordings of nature and culture that Polack made in India. All three albums are available for free download, but are also available as limited edition cd-r in cool digipaks sleeves.
Digipak sleeves for three new Narrominded releases are being printed at the factory at the moment. All three releases will be available as limited edition cd’s and free mp3 downloads: NM031 – Coen Oscar Polack & Herman Wilken – The Language of Mountains is Rain; NM036 – Coen Oscar Polack – Geluiden uit De Blauwe Kamer; NM037 – Coen Oscar Polack – The Skipping Monk (recordings of nature and culture in India). Expect them ready and available in two weeks…
